Traveling to our Aspen Contracting Family

This week the Aspen Contracting marketing team ventured out to the upper northeast end of the country to catch up with our West Virginia team. We wanted to get out of the office and into the nitty-gritty of roofing life. Besides learning a new catchphrase for the week “Did you know that George Washington had a brother?” and that the song “Country Roads” was about West Virginia, our marketing team found out some other interesting facts about the local WV office.

This office is all about family. We always think of our company as a family but the West Virginia office is living proof. This office lives, breathes, eats, and travels with each other. Everyone relies on one another at the end of the day to make sure that the team is succeeding as a whole and making sure that customers are being cared for.

When the hailstorm hit Charles Town the damage to the area was massive. The storm took place May 5th of 2018. The damage to homes was plainly visible all over town. Shingles were torn off from the storm damage and there were tons of cracks and holes in siding everywhere.

While in town we did our best to meet all Aspen team members. We had the opportunity to sit down and meet all the employees who work their magic in the office, and all the project consultants who work their tails off in the field. Marketing understands each role that each team member has, but we had the chance to delve deeper into job responsibilities, putting names to faces.

The Charles Town office has an interesting dynamic because there are people who are brand new to the company and others that have been with the company for years. We got the chance to learn the flow work of the orders. Marketing got to walk through the organization of the timeline for a work order. We found out that there are so many steps that a job must go through before a project can be completed.

Marketing had the opportunity to walk around the small close-knit community, telling the neighbors about the work and programs that Aspen Contracting offers. It was awesome meeting homeowners in the field, which were presently working with us. Being able to see the strong relationships that the project consultants had already built with homeowners was exciting.

While visiting Charles Town, marketing also got to experience what a roof inspection is like first hand. It was very interesting to learn what project consultants look for when inspecting homes. The knowledge that project consultants have about roofing systems, and storm damage is one of the reasons Aspen Contracting is the best in the roofing industry. We have the knowledge to back our company and the integrity to always offer free inspections.
